Risks when Buying a Gaming account and why AccountRealm provides a safe environment
On the other hand, people overestimate the risks. It is really hard for publishers to tell if an account has been sold. Since many people do legitimately change locations or change their internet providers, searching actively for account purchases would produce way more false positives than actual account trading signs.
Selling in-game currency is a different matter entirely. Since all transactions of in-game currency are logged, it is easy to ban entire networks if they find a single account doing it.
What are the risks when buying an account?
- Risk of the account getting banned
- Risk of account recall by the original owner
- Risk of the account being significantly different than advertised
In our experience, all of these risks can be completely mitigated. By default, it is extremely rare for an account to get banned. Something really surprising must happen. For example, someone reports that it was a sold account or the previous buyer tries to steal it back and support figures out that it was sold. I would say out of every 100 accounts only 1 or 2 gets banned.
The risk of a recall is also very low. If an account hasn’t been recalled in the first week, most likely it never will be. We usually keep the accounts for several weeks before putting them up for sale.
One of our biggest advantages is that we document the contents of each account with a written description and supplement that with screenshots. We always provide all information regarding an account. We never hype or make outlandish claims.
No one can guarantee complete safety when buying a gaming account, however, a replacement or refund can completely mitigate all risks for the buyer. The most important factor is the trustworthiness of the seller or in other words us at AccountRealm.
